The Writers of Pythia Press
A war correspondent who covered Vietnam for five years and an American poet who saw the Spanish Civil War reach Malaga. Meet the authors behind the Pythia Press catalog.

Zalin Grant
Author and editorial director
His rather odd first name is pronounced zay-len. Zalin volunteered for Vietnam and served as an army officer. He is a former war correspondent and journalist for Time magazine and The New Republic, and the author of five books.
He writes the Letters from a French Village from a farmhouse in the heart of France, and the War Tales from his five years in the Vietnam War.

Gamel Woolsey
Author of Malaga Burning
Gamel Woolsey, then in her late thirties, was living in a small village outside the southern coastal city of Malaga when the Spanish Civil War broke out in July 1936.
Her memoir of the war, first published in Britain in 1939 as Death’s Other Kingdom, is published in the United States by Pythia Press as Malaga Burning.
